Happy Christmas!

I had a great Christmas and so did my chin!

Friday, December 4, 2009

Apparently it's December.

Today we had our first snow.

2 years ago I vowed to never love the snow again.
Being an adult has destroyed all feelings I once had for snow and everything that follows it.
Instead of sledding I now have dead batteries.
Instead of forts I now have heating bills.
Snow is the enemy.
I see no sign of there ever being a treaty...

Evil Prevails When Good Men Become Zombies!

Zombies.
They are my favorite things.
At night they are usually the subject matter of my dreams.

This Halloween I was my first zombie. Well, my first non-digital zombie.
Now the question is: should this be a weekly thing....?

What Makes Me Happy

This last month has been "not so hot".
Stress, coupled with long periods of couch sitting, apparently CAN be bad for you.
I sometimes feel as though my eyes may dry up from staring at screens.
Also, I worry about what little muscles I have in my arms withering to nothingness (making it amazingly impossible to move furniture and the like).
It's times like these that make me remember the fonder things.
These are a few of what makes me happy:

"The Sneezing Panda"

"You Know What He Did?"

"I'm Listening To My Radio, Derrick"

"Chimp Fall"

"Ron Mueck"
(to say these are amazing would be a huge understatement)

And last (and most importantly) I love bread.

Mmmmmmmmmm...thats the stuff

Words cannot explain...

Where would video games be without the Japanese?
I feel like my brain just had some sort of seizure.

Jack Conte = Amazingness

Jack Conte.
I'm thinking you haven't heard of him.
He happens to be one of THE most talented and creative underground artists as of now.
I'm not one to prostitute my opinions. I'm also not one to pimp out people I have no connections to. But I simply can't help myself.
For once I'm able to honestly give an answer to the "Who's your favorite musician" question. Enjoy.

Also well worth the listen is Pomplamoose. (Jack Conte and his girlfriend Nataly Dawn teaming up.)

Check them both out and tell your friends. They deserve the publicity!

Oh The Times We've Shared

I was recently looking through my archives when I came upon a group of photos. These photos make me quite happy.
For whatever reason my buddy David has been the subject of many a priceless picture. Today I share with you just a taste:

From Stage to Film.

So this last weekend marked my return to stage acting, something I haven't been a part of for the last 5 years. I was a bit hesitant at first but have since replaced that feeling with pride. In fact I was flipping awesome and sexy as crud up there. ( My sexy wife wasn't too bad either..)

(Emily did all the set design. Yep, awesome.)
Now the lingering question is, "Todd, now that the play is over how in the universe are you going to let out all of your creative energy???"
Well I'll tell you, person who's asking that lingering question.
The villain and I have decided to join forces.
Mr. all in black from the above pictures is a film maker and he and I plan on putting together an extremely sleek and exciting short film.
What will it be about?
Well, let me just whet your appetite with this little number:

Ohhhhh yeah...
Don't get too excited.
Save it for the real deal.

Trains, Explosions and Exercise

It's fun to have new programs to play with.
Today we took senior pictures for my bro and his friend Dilly.
450 pictures later and I'm now on to the fun part, editing.
It's fun to have fun.

Today me, the wife and some friends had an art session.

The Illustrious History In Pictures.

So I'm sick.
And my little brother is controlling the basement couch and TV with his friendgirl.
I was left browsing my webs, admiring myself in between rushes to the bathroom,
when I realized that some of my favorite pictures haven't touched this blog yet!

These are just of few of the pictures I've taken while on another countries soil:

England

Egypt

Israel

A bit of mystery...

...Not really.
I was at a group today that has seemed to have grabbed hold of the phrase.
Thusly I will say it whenever I fell like it.

I haven't posted anything in forever. Again with the busyness!
Here's our nearly, practically, almost finished house, the pictures further down being the more recent. You'll see shelving develop and paint finally finished!

Also I don't know if any ones been keeping up with Emily's blog but we celebrated Parker's B-day a bit ago and made a hobbit cake for it. Emily and I both worked on hobbits.

In her pictures you'll see the finished product:

Unfortunately this wasn't the original Hobbit.
The first one was created by myself as you can plainly see here.

However, as you can ALSO plainly see he was a bit of a failure. And a drunky.

He also turned to mush every time i touched him.
This made me angry.
It also reminded me of why I like red food coloring soo much.

I could post more pictures sporting his frilly toothpick arrow wounds, but you get the point.

Needless to say, Emily's Hobbit beating mine out as the official cake decoration,

NOT a mystery

Nature, my new friend.

Now that we're in the country I'm beginning to get excited. More things to take pictures of!

Plus all of this fresh air is brewing ideas...

I'm also playing around with a new watermark.^

So close I can almost taste our official address...

We've stepped out of the front door to our apartment for the last time.
Now we're in transition. The house is not yet done but we've made pretty great progress. These photos are a bit of a mix spanning 2 and some weeks. I've been quite busy, something I haven't been able to truthfully say for far too long...
